>> Now On At The V&A London: The Glamour Of Italian Fashion

Isn't my wedding dress beautiful? :D If only this would be my wedding dress!! On Saturday, the 5th of April, the V&A Museum in London will open its doors for the Spring exhibition 'The Glamour Of Italian Fashion' 1945 - 2014. On display, are around 120 stylish ensembles and accessories by leading Italian fashion houses like Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Prada and Versace - just to name a few. We went to the Press View, to give you an early and exclusive glimpse into the world of high end fashion, luxurious materials and world renowned craftmanship.

The creations on display, will take you back to the early 1950's. A time which elevated Italian fashion onto the world stage. Hollywood stars like Audrey Hepburn and Liz Taylor chose to wear designs, crafted locally, while on movie-sets in Italy. In 1962 Liz Taylor went on a stroll with Richard Burton, which led them to Bulgari. There, she received a platinum necklace with emeralds and diamonds as an engagement gift. These precious jewels, which she was wearing on their wedding day later, are part of the viewing at the V&A as well and are breathtakingly stunning - see:

'The Glamour Of Italian Fashion' highlights the special techniques, materials and know-how, which fashion handmade-in-Italy is known for. It also acknowledges, how established designers, manufacturers and related industries are facing the present shift, to fast-fashion and overseas production. The presentation concludes with a series of filmed interviews with key protagonists of the Italian fashion world. Now, if you want to take a look at the wonderful & sparkling garments personally, you can get tickets HERE. Oh.. these amazing dresses - wow!
