>> Why Do People Release Their New Books On My Birthday.. Can Someone Explain?! πŸ€”

Image
Hey everyone, Welcome back to your favorite blog about unexplainable release dates! Honestly, I know my birthday is on September 23rd but as far as I am concerned, to everyone else it is just a random Tuesday. So why is this new - presumably interesting - book 'Strong Ground' by BrenΓ¨ Brown being released on that exact day? The second book I have heard of, with the same release date, is the new book '107 Days' by almost president Kamala Harris. I would really like to figure this out. It is not the first day of the month, it is not the middle of the month, it is not even the beginning of the week - a Monday.  Ok, so now after reading all of this, at least you will remember when my birthday is. πŸ™‚ Maybe that was my goal all along.. What I would like for my birthday, is a more peaceful world and for people to realize that the best things in life are not up for purchase. That is a very true fact. Sometimes you arrive at the mountain top and you discover that it sucks ther...

>> πŸ“š IBTN Book Club: How to Be a Moonflower — A Spellbinding Visual Journey for All Night Readers! πŸ”¦πŸŒŒ

Image
Hello everybody, Welcome back to your favorite blog about all things creative, multifaceted and colorful.  This has been a big week for books on the blog. First, I released my new book ' Hope Is '  and now we have a new recommendation for the IBTN Book Club. This month, we would like to introduce ' How to Be a Moonflower: A Field Guide by Katie Daisy', a beautifully illustrated book that explores the magic that often unfolds after sundown. A collection of poems and ideas for night time activities like starga zing. There are also sections about nocturnal animals and the lunar phases. Short Summary: 'How to Be a Moonflower by Katie Daisy is a lushly illustrated, magical invitation to slow down, embrace the night and find wonder in the world after dark.  Through poetic reflections, gentle prompts and stunning artwork, the book celebrates the beauty of moonlit hours — encouraging readers to dream, wander and reconnect with nature and their own inner light.' I ord...

>> Just Published: Hope Is - New Book Available Now ✨ A Collection of Quotes About Hope in English and German! πŸ“š

Image
Hello everyone, Welcome back to your favorite literature blog. My second book ' Hope is ' or ' Hoffnung ist ' is out now. Exactly 3 years after my very first original book ' Thoughts ' I am following up with this one. Hmm... what does the world need most right now? Honestly, I don't even know where to start. I can only work with what I have, where I am right now. I would say one of the most crucial things is hope, so I compiled 70 quotes about it. Each quote is illustrated with a nice font on a colorful background — either a photo or plain colors. I made two versions: one in English and one in German. With this book, I hope to inspire and uplift the reader. If even one person feels better and encouraged after reading this book, my mission has been accomplished. Find it in the My Music and Books section of the blog.  Within this article, you can see a few examples of the content.  I will have another book recommendation for you later this week.  Also, I am c...

>> If This Is True, Einstein Must Have Had a Limited Social Life – Why Society Resents Intelligence.. πŸ’‘

Image
Hello everyone, Welcome back to your favorite blog about science and societal norms. Can you believe it is already April? Today, we want to shine a light on the connection between intelligence and one’s social life with this YouTube recommendation. I just brought up Einstein (once again) because he is such a great example of a high IQ. In the video below, we can learn about the link between being very smart and being avoided for exactly that reason. However, if you are a sapiosexual, you won't have a problem with intelligence at all — quite the opposite, in fact. πŸ™‚ While watching this, you might think that being a clever person is harder because you constantly think about things that never even come to mind for the vast majority of people. But as we hear towards the end of the video it is all getting easier, once you find or build a likeminded tribe.  A quote I read somewhere before and found interesting is that 'everyone you meet knows something you don't know.' So if...

>> Reflections on Attending My First Live TED Talk(s) at TEDxLondon's Festival of Ideas πŸ’‘

Image
Hello everyone and welcome back - to your favorite Blog! After watching many interesting TED talks on YouTube over the years and often wondering, why they seemingly never took place where I lived and why I had never been able to attend one, it finally happened this year! What an informative start to 2025. The event was called: 'TEDxLondon - Festival of Ideas' and took place last Sunday. I also heard they are in their 6th year already! The day was split into two sessions, with several speakers taking the stage in the morning and the other half after lunch. On one hand, I thought it was good to learn more about a variety of issues I was not deeply aware of up until this point; on the other hand, I felt somewhat helpless learning about yet another crisis that I might not be able to do much about. This is why I appreciate when a TED talk outlines a specific course of action towards the end, so you know where to start if you want to do something about it. Or when speakers share info...

>> IBTN Book Club: Presenting To You My First Book! πŸ“š Thoughts πŸ“š I Guess I Am An Author Now 🌎

Image
Hello everybody and dear readers! During the lockdown I got even more into Graphic Design. I was working with and discovering different fonts. I could not really share my thoughts as much as I would have liked to.  This is why I have put together my first book. It is called THOUGHTS and it is a collection of 100 illustrated original thoughts by me. I realized, that in combination with the right image and font, a thought or statement has a different effect or impact. I ended up with so many images I created, that the collection would be even too much for my Blog to handle. Even though you can already see a few examples of these illustrations on the right side of the Blog main page. So if you enjoy those - I have plenty more! This book will make you think, add a splash of color to your day and you will get to know me better. πŸ™‚ It will definitely be entertaining. Many of my favorite leaders and coaches published their first book early on in life.  Now this is my firs...

>> Must Watch! When Americans πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Move To Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Culture Shock Unavoidable..

Image
Hello everybody.  Have you ever been to a country that was so different from your own that it took you quite a while to adjust? Well, this is often the case when Americans make the move to Germany. From language, to food, to shopping and free time activities, you will gain a whole new perspective on life if you discover a new country. Just like in the video above. Recently, I have heard about several Americans, who are in the process of moving to Deutschland/just arrived. Having lived in 4 different countries myself by now, I must say, really changed my world view. I have gained a different kind of understanding. And what are your younger years better used for, than exploring other cultures and surroundings than the ones you grew up in and are used to? I think you can only grow and evolve from an experience like that. If you like it or not, when you get back home, you have some international stories to tell! When I moved to NYC I also felt like I was walking around on a movi...
